  • Does it meet the energy code in your jurisdiction? Yes or no. Don't accept "probably."
  • What's the warranty procedure? In writing, before you buy.
  • Who's accountable if the installation fails inspection?

If you can answer those questions, the price question takes care of itself. If you can't, any number I gave you at the top of this article—even the correct one—isn't going to help you.
